Summer, A Time for Safe and Enjoyable Activities

One may say any season of the year is a time for safe and enjoyable activities.  However, Summer gives children even more freedom to relax and experience opportunities to be active. As this is the case, it is a great and necessary idea to inform them about safety procedures and guidelines.  Here are some tips to teach, so boys and girls can put  them into action.

*Play away from traffic and parked vehicles.

*Know and follow playground safety rules.

*Remember stranger danger and only go with a person(s) with parent verbal permission.

*Swim or play only in designated supervised waters.

*Stay in visible sight of the adult(s) with whom you are traveling.

*Know emergency phone numbers and your address.

*Be aware of your surroundings.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer break!

Thinking Outside The Box

Teaching to 'Think Outside the Box' is a cliché to say when helping children remember to use their brains creatively, so they are more likely to reach their greatest skills and talents. Some ideas to encourage 'thinking outside the box' include the following:

*Problem solve using brain teasers.

* Design a project.

* Write a  poem or book.

* Make a  new invention.

*Instruct using a variety of learning modalities.

When a child’s mind is expanded with productive unconventional ideas, the growth can lead to the right

career path and choice that is personality compatible.
